Maharashtra Institute of Technology World Peace University (MIT-WPU) is a state private university located in Pune, Maharashtra. It is also among the top education institutions in India since the establishment of the MIT Group of Institutes in 1983. The University is recognized by the UGC under the Govt of Maharashtra Act 2017. 

MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), Pune is ranked 138 among the ranked institutions in the engineering category by NIRF and ranked 24 in all institutes IITs, NITs and Governments institutes and ranked as 14 in all Private Engineering institutes in India. Eligibility for courses at MIT-WPU

  1. Candidates must have passed a minimum of three years Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline awarded by any of the Universities recognized by UGC or AIU.
  2. The candidate must have a minimum of 50% aggregate.
  3. Candidates who appeared for the final year examination are also eligible to apply.
  4. Maharashtra State candidate must have obtained more than zero scores in MAH CET 2024
  5. All India/Jammu and Kashmir Migrant candidates should have obtained more than zero scores in MAH CET/CAT/CMAT/MAT/GMAT/ATMA/XAT.

Selection Criteria for MIT-WPU

Any candidate applying for MBA must score at least a non-zero in the following National Level Test conducted by an apex testing body. In order to be considered for admission to MBA 2024-26, valid test scores of CAT 2023, XAT 2023, NMAT 2024, GMAT 2024, CMAT 2024, MAH-CET 2024, PERA & MAT Sept 2023 onwards will be accepted.

Each candidate will be rated for 100 marks according to the breakdown below.

  1. Entrance Exam Score – 10%
  2. Group Discussion (GD)/ Extempore – 25%
  3. Personal Interview (PI) – 25%
  4. Past Academic Record (SSC 10% and HSC 10%) – 20%
  5. Statement of Purpose (SOP) – 15%
  6. Work Experience – 5%
  7. The Provisional Merit List of the shortlisted students will be displayed University website / Candidate login
  8. For the selected candidates, a provisional offer letter of admission will be sent to registered email id with the detailed link for payment of first installment
